Tricks to deal with an insurance adjuster wisely and get your rightful compensation.

It is no secret that insurance companies use insurance adjusters to promote their agendas. One article refers to insurance adjusters as 'sneaky' regarding how they go about fulfilling their role for insurance companies. If you are a victim of a car accident and need compensation for your injuries, you will need to be aware of insurance adjusters' outworkings, which is the article's subject. It is important to note that insurance companies are in the business of making money, not giving it away. Therefore, do not be fooled by the niceness of insurance adjusters because they are not your friend. One article states that ‘in fact, a large number of insurance companies pay their adjusters a bonus for settling your claim as soon as possible for as little as possible. Despite the adjuster being a representative of your insurance company or the at-fault driver’s insurance company, the insurance adjuster's primary goal is to save money. To do this, they employ several clever tactics; these include the following:

  • DELAYS – it is essential to use the word delay in capital letters because they have gotten this tactic down to an art. The insurance adjusters know that the longer they delay, it is likely that you, as the victim, will settle out of desperation. Desperation comes from trying to avoid losing your car, home or being able to pay for basics as well as bills.
  • Asking for unnecessary information - this is used to frustrate the victim and may entail the adjuster requesting 10 to 30 years old documents that have absolutely nothing to do with the injury you suffered. The basic idea is to fish for information to discredit the victim’s claim and delay or stall your claim.
  • Requesting a recorded statement - there is no polite way of putting it: “DO NOT GIVE A RECORDED STATEMENT!” The point of having a recorded statement is so that the adjuster can use things you said out of context against you at a later date. By refusing to give a recorded statement, it is not evidenced that you are trying to hide anything, but instead, it protects you from having your words twisted against you.
The reality is that there are many tactics that insurance adjusters employ to advance the interests of insurance companies. However, the best way to curb your vulnerability as a victim is to use the services of lawyers for car accident Anchorage , Alaska. It is essential to keep in mind that everything you say and do the insurance adjuster is paying close attention. You should never minimize your injuries in any way, even in a joking manner. Insurance adjusters watch you carefully and note anything and everything they can use to discredit your claim, even a joke. When scheduling meetings with the insurance adjusters, ensure that it happens during normal working hours just if you need to contact specific ‘consultants’. And do not meet up with adjusters alone, go with a lawyer; this eliminates the chance of them trying to mislead you.
