My son and I were going down 36th heading west, coming up to a light that just turned green. Another vehicle ran the light and hit us head on. It happened so quick… it just seemed like it was surreal. The pain didn’t really hit until twelve hours later, and then it continued to get worse. I had just bought my first car ever, and I think I only had it for 10 days. I was at a stoplight on my way to work and someone rear-ended me. Then four days later I was hit again! That time I was T-boned, so it was a more serious accident and I actually went to the emergency room. I hurt so bad to the point where I couldn’t write, I could barely sit up, I just hurt so bad. [I was] at a stoplight, waiting for the light to turn green, and somebody rear ended me at 50 miles an hour. It actually put my hand through the steering wheel and busted up my wrist and stuff. A few months after that, even with therapy it never did heal right. Since it never healed correctly and I wasn’t 100 percent good to go, I couldn’t do my job anymore, so basically I lost my job because of the accident. Physical handicap, you know. I was leaving the VA and I got hit from behind. I got knocked out. All the airbags deployed and the one from the steering wheel knocked me out. It was a seventeen-car pile-up.
